As you know, second grade has been learning about the different countries that made up the Spanish speaking world, as well as how to express nationality using the phrase Yo soy or Yo soy de (I am / I am from). We have also been discussing different types of homes and biomes found in Spanish-speaking countries and this past week, students have been working in writing riddles about animals found in different biomes for their classmates to answer.

The end of the quarter is Thursday, February 1. We will be moving on to more specifically discuss what is INSIDE of houses next quarter, along with learning some basic prepositional phrases (next to, on, under, etc.).
