Unidad 2: Los tiempos del pasado

The past tense unit of quarter two is designed so that students learn how to:

  • identify both forms of the past tense in Spanish, the preterite and the imperfect
  • use expressions of time
  • read folktales and legends of Bolivia
  • write their own short story using the past tenses

Unidad 3: El agua 

The water unit in quarter three is designed so that students can learn how to:

  • use the present and past tenses in tandem
  • pose questions and offer opinions
  • identify an issue’s pros and cons
  • read articles from different news/media sources
  • discuss and debate a current events topic
  • talk about the struggles Bolivia has faced with regard to water and access to water
