Hello! I’m Cara Bucciarelli, a K-8 Spanish as a world language teacher passionate about global education. This website serves as an archive of my learning and experiences from the 2024-2025 Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program. I hope that you find the resources helpful in beginning or continuing your own global education journey!

This guide is designed for educators to:

✅ Define and understand the terms global education and global competence.
✅ Access related resources and frameworks, including lesson plans and digital tools.
✅ See examples of how travel can transform teaching and learning.

📂 What is global education?

Global education is a way of thinking about teaching and learning that highlights the world's interconnectedness. It fosters inquiry, builds empathy as students examine diverse perspectives and encourages them to begin to take action to confront local and global challenges.

The resources found on this site are meant to help develop an understanding of global education, view examples of relevant activities, lessons and projects, and highlight impactful teacher-travel experiences.
