Meet Cara

Cara Bucciarelli

Spanish as a World Language Teacher
Educator

I have been teaching Spanish as a world language grades K-8 for seventeen years. Prior to teaching, I worked in education non-profits focused on educational equity and served in Americorps for one year as a coordinator for an intergenerational reading program.Ā

I am particularly interested in curriculum design that promotes inquiry, helps students discover global-local connections and fosters curiosity across disciplines.

Cara is honored to have received opportunities to engage in teacher-travel, mostly recently as a participant in the Fulbright for Global Classrooms program (India, 2024-2025), as a Fund for Teachers Fellow (Colombia 2024, Peru 2011), as the National Spanish Exam/Pulsera Project Scholarship Recipient (Guatemala, 2023) and as a National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Grosvenor Teacher Fellow (Costa Rica & Panama, 2019).
