Welcome back!

¡Hola y bienvenidos al año escolar 2018-2019! I am happy to be back from maternity leave and ready to begin another great year with all of you!

A few announcements:

  1. Each grade level has their own tab on the top of this page. Please be sure to check this page weekly for updates, as well as to find resources to assist you in studying at home.
  2. As with last year, there will be no assigned homework for Spanish. HOWEVER, time should be spent at home reviewing notes, practicing flashcards or viewing other resources on the website, and/or completing any in-class work that was sent home to finish. Ideally, students should spent 5-20 min a day studying Spanish, depending on their comfort with the material and on what we are doing in the class.
  3. Grades 3 and 4 will be using the standards-based grading system piloted in 3rd grade last year. Grades 5-12 will be using a traditional grading scale.
  4. Please complete your Family Information Form as soon as you can.
  5. Feel free to reach out to me via email (preferred) or parent portal with any questions or concerns.

Important Dates:

  • World language back-to-school night is 9/12 at 5 pm! Come say hello and get any questions answered then.
  • Progress reports will be out the week of 10/1.
  • First quarter ends on 11/1 and report card pickup is scheduled for 11/14.
