4th quarter announcements

Students in grades 5 and 8 will soon take the STAMP test to see if they are on track for the Seal of Biliteracy. The Seal of Biliteracy is an award granted to students who have gained proficiency in two or more languages throughout their educational career. We will be taking the benchmark tests in all languages in 5th and 8th grade between now and May 10.

Students in 2nd, 3rd and 8th grades are working with Ensemble Español for our Artist-in-Residence program this year.

Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades recently attended a field trip to Old Town School of Folk Music to learn about the music of Al-Andalus and the many different cultures that impacted flamenco’s unique sound.

• June 20: Last day of school for students
