Sixth grade will be completing a project on biodiversity in various regions of Guatemala this quarter. As a part of the project, we will also examine a local issue of biodiversity of interest to the students. This project is based on my expedition with National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions.

Seventh grade is wrapping up their reading of a novel for the first week of the quarter. Next, they will examine Bolivia’s Guerra de Agua and other water issues in the country.

Eighth grade will be completing a large spring project as a part of our Out of Eden grant project received from National Geographic. Students will be interviewing families here at LaSalle II and then also out in the field at Chicago Cultural Alliance partners.
